Slack's Sites

D'Amour Allure . com is the homepage of D'Amour Allure Stamps. Part of my job as a web designer has been learning how to adapt to the needs of the customer. Since D'Amour Allure wants to appeal to artists, I knew that I would have my work cut out for me when I started working on their website. I would have to find a way to attract artists to come browse their stamps. What artists look for in a website is different from what a lamp store might want; so the website I constructed for this client would have to be another work of art. And in a sense, that is what it has become.

S. A. Slack has some things in common with myself, Erik Slack. Besides sharing my last name--because I am her son--she loves mysteries! I've been running my mother's website as a help to her career for years, but when Mother's Day came around, I decided to gift my mom with something with a little more personal touch than a bouquet of flowers. The hard work and love that I put into this website is a reflection of the love and work that S. A. Slack has put into raising her kids and into her writing.

FAIR's Rising Generation is an online community of young Christian scholars and enthusiasts who volunteer free time out of their busy schedules so that they can write articles and design multimedia to support the faith of their peers.

With sponsorship from their parent organization, the Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research, I volunteered my services as a web designer to build their website. It is the only website I have ever made using Drupal and I am very happy with how it turned out.

Prior to that project I created the FRG Blogsite which has had up to 100 visitors per day and contains over 100 well-written and well-thought-out posts. The blog uses the same template as the website for brand recognition purposes.
